About TEC

Scientists study the world as it is; engineers create the world that has never been.
— Theodore von Karman

TEC works to create an environment where students can gain practical skills that will help them succeed in the future. We host a variety of workshops to teach the fundamentals of microcontrollers, programming in C++, and CAD/3D modeling as well as how to apply that knowledge to projects. Our project meetings allow students to apply what they’ve learned, and gain hands on experience with design, part selection, and construction. These activities provide a low stress environment for students to experiment with engineering and design, and this allows new engineers to learn skills that textbooks can’t teach.

Past Projects

Robotic Arm

This was made using a Leap Motion Sensor, 3 servos, and an Arduino Duo. Several parts were 3D printed and the rest were fabricated in shop.
